The BFD conducted bailout training on Saturday, August 4th for existing and new firefighters. Training consisted of a classroom session for new FF's and hands on practice for both existing and new personnel.

We use the Petzl EXO Personal Escape System, which is meant to be used in extreme situations when a firefighter finds it necessary to escape from a fire or other dangerous situation and needs to lower themself from a window, roof, or other elevation.

Fireground Technologies Inc. conducted the training, which required our personnel to bail out of a second story simulator window a minimum of 6 times under different scenarios.
