Erwin B. Henker
1914 - 2016

Henker, Erwin B. ”Ernie”, 101, a longtime resident of Bedford, NY, died on March 27th.

Ernie was born in New York City on November 21, 1914.

Together with his brother, Franz he was co-owner of Henker Brother Produce in Bedford for many years.

He was an active member of the Bedford Fire Department for 72 years. He was an 18 year Fire Commissioner. He was a member of the Bedford Farmers Club, the Bedford Historical Society, The Bedford Library and he was an associate member of the East Greenville Fire Department in PA.

Ernie is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Helen Henker; and his loving son, Thomas of Pennsburg, PA, and his wife Julia. He is the devoted grandfather of Dominique and Tiffany and great grandfather of Drew Thomas and Jace Alexander. He is the brother of Gertrude Rohrbach of Washington State and the late Franz, Uncle of Fred and John Rohrbach and Lilly Thomson all of Washington State and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, NY.

The Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Thursday March 31st at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Middle Patent Rural Cemetery, Banksville Road, Banksville, NY.
