12 members of the Bedford Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle fire in the parking lot of the Hunting Ridge Mall at 1:02am on Tuesday April 16th. Engines arrived to a fully involved car fire and went to work extinguishing it. There were reports of a possible burn victim and 2044 requested EMS to the scene for an evaluation. All units were back in service at 2:49 a.m. at which time members had to refill the engines with water, the SCBA bottles with air, and decontaminate equipment and bunker gear due to the contaminants in a fire like this. Once that was done, they got to go home and get a couple hours of sleep before their days started.

Coincidentally, this was just hours after members finished training on hose line operations and were able to put that into practice.

Thank you all that assisted and came out in the middle of the night.
