So with one of the hottest days this year, the Bedford Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire. On arrival we had smoke showing and numerous mutual aid companies coming due to the lack of water in the area and high heat. The fire which was caused by a malfunction of a torch being used by a worker in the attic was quickly knocked down. Members were able to extinguish the fire with minimal damage and most importantly no firefighters hurt. Thank you to all the mutual aid companies.
