Fire Safety at St. Mathews School

By Second Assistant Fire Chief Peter Lazaro
April 16, 2012

The Bedford Fire Department visited St. Matthews School on Thursday, April 16th and gave the children a fire safety talk. Asst. Chief Pete Lazaro, Ex-Chief Paul Aquilino and Fire fighter Eileen Sacharewitz took Engine 109 and Car 2043.

A four point child fire safety program was the focal point of the visit. It reinforces these important lessons:

Firefighters are our friends
Stop! Drop! And Roll!
Crawl low under smoke
Keep away from matches and lighters

Thank-you to the staff of St. Matthews for their hospitality.
