On December 7th, another busy day for the Bedford Fire Department, Engine 109 was relocated to Armonk Fire Department as part of their 10-75 (working fire) mutual aid agreement.

While multiple companies worked at the scene of the fire at 35 Nichols Road, Bedford stood by in Armonk's quarters to cover any calls. During that time, members assisted on a mutual aid EMS call to Hickory Kingdom Road in Banksville, and answered a commercial alarm at 100 Business Park Drive. Our own fire district is predominantly residential buildings, so we welcomed the opportunity to respond to and investigate a very large mixed occupancy structure.

After being released from stand by, both Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of 255 Greenwich Road for a reported motor vehicle accident with extrication. Upon arrival of Car 2041 and Car 2043, a occupants were found to be out of the vehicle, which had lost control on a patch of ice and contacted a tree off the roadway. All patients declined transport to the hospital, and once the vehicle was secured, all units returned to service.
