Just after dinner time on a quiet (011/28/07) Sunday evening, members of the Bedford Fire Department were dispatched to a possible residential fire at 54 Brook Farm Road. Following the standard structure fire response, tankers from Banksville and Pound Ridge Fire Departments as well as Tower Ladder 14 from Mt. Kisco were dispatched.

Upon the arrival of all three Bedford Chiefs to the scene, a small fire was discovered smoldering within a fireplace and the surrounding area into the floor. Although the fire was small, Pound Ridge's tanker as well as all Bedford units were requested to continue in. A precautionary line was stretched from Engine 109 to the house while other members checked for extension and overhauled the area.

The remaining hot spots were doused and all units were cleared from the scene at approximately 23:15 hours.
