On Friday, February 2, at 1844 hours, members of the Bedford Fire Department were dispatched to a reported fluid spill at the intersection of South Bedford Road and the Northbound Entrance Ramp of Interstate 684, near the Comuter Park and Ride. Moments later, the status of the call was upgraded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries by Bedford Police units on scene.

Car 2044, along with Ambulance 52-B1 and Rescue 44 arrived on location shortly thereafter to find a three car accident in the center of the rhighway.

Occupants of the third car were able to drive away from the scene, while the two remaining cars had to be towed. South Bedford Road was closed west bound for a few minutes while tow crews worked to remove the remaining damaged vehicles. Members of the Bedford Fire Department used Speedy Dry to absorb the spilled oil, and then reopened the road to traffic. One patient was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco, NY for treatment and observations.
