First Public Meeting on New Firehouse Project

By First Assistant Fire Chief Andrew Klein
June 28, 2017

The Bedford Village Fire District and Department have combined forces and created a New Firehouse Committee to begin planning a new building for the Department. Tonight the committee held its first public meeting with immediate neighbors of the proposed site, business leaders, and elected officials of the Town of Bedford to share a progress report, answer questions, and hear concerns about the project.

The Fire District purchased land on Old Post Road (Rte. 172) between South Brook Road and Homestead Lane in 2012 and is now moving ahead with hiring an architect for conceptual plans. Attached is the first press release about the project, which was handed out at tonight's meeting and given to the Record Review for publication on Friday, June 30, 2017.

Please continue to follow the New Firehouse section on our website and Facebook page for further updates and additional meetings.
