COVID-19 notification to Emergency Services

To our Bedford Village Residents regarding precautions during the COVID-19 outbreak:

If you are quarantined (mandatory or self-imposed) in your home due to possible or confirmed COVID-19 exposure, PLEASE notify the Bedford Fire Department, either confidentially by emailing chiefs@bedfordfire.com or by placing a sign/note on your front door to alert our firefighters and EMTs to take infection-prevention precautions before entering your home.

We need to protect our crews so that they will be able to continue to meet the emergency needs of the community. There has been an entire fire company quarantined down county after they responded to a quarantined home and were not alerted before entering: that's 5 firefighters unavailable to help anyone else for 14 days!

Thank you - we are here for you!

The Chiefs, Officers, Firefighters and EMTs of the Bedford Fire Department

PS, if you do not live in the Bedford Village Fire District, it is a good idea to alert the emergency services providers in your area!
