On Saturday, October 23rd, just after 9 a.m., Bedford Fire and EMS were dispatched to Old Post Road in the area of Captain Theale Road for a motor vehicle accident with rollover.

The call originally came through North Castle PD, putting it just north of Banksville Road on Bedford Road (Route 22). Responding PD were unable to locate in that area, and continued until they found the accident several miles north in Bedford, just over our fire district line in front of 21 Old Post Road.

Car 2043 arrived simultaneously, as did all three Armonk FD chiefs since they were out looking for the vehicle as well. One vehicle was located in the roadway on its roof, with the driver self extricated. Since their Ambulance and Rescue were already responding, Armonk EMS handled patient care at the scene, and transported one in their ambulance with minor injuries to Westchester Medical Center. Rescue 85 assisted on their district side to divert traffic at Middle Patent Road.

Our Rescue 44 crews assisted with traffic and cleaned off the roadway once the vehicle was removed. The roadway was reopened around 10:30 a.m.
