On Saturday March 12th, Bedford Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of 444 Bedford Center Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Road were icy at the time of the accident.

On arrival, a single SUV was found on its side after making contact with a large rock on the side of the road. The sole occupant was able to extricate themselves through a broken rear window and was evaluated by Bedford EMS and WEMS. They refused transport from the scene.

Rescue 44 and Utility 140 crews helped control traffic, leaking fluids, and cleaned up debris. We also cut through the front windshield of the vehicle to put the vehicle in park and turn it off – as it was still running and in neutral gear.

JV Auto was on scene to turn the vehicle over and remove. Traffic reopened on Bedford Center Road shortly thereafter.
