Shortly before 11:00 am, on Monday January 21st, the Pound Ridge Fire Department was requested to respond to 150 Parkview Drive North, just off of Salem Road (Route 124), on a possible structure fire. Arriving Chief Car 2401 reported a fully involved structure fire, and requested a mutual aid tanker and resource response from neighboring departments.

Engine 110, our mutual aid engine, responded in minutes with a full crew to the scene, and began overhaul on arrival following a quick knock down by Pound Ridge Firefighters. Members helped set up ground ladders to the structure, ventilated, and ultimately overhauled the floor directly above the seat of the fire.

Engine 109 handled an additional residential alarm in our own district, dispatched two minutes after the request for mutual aid to Pound Ridge. Bedford Firefighters and Engine 110 were released from the scene after operating for just over an hour.

Following an investigation by the Zone 5 Cause and Origin Team, the fire was determined to be accidental, and had started in the garage (destroying the two vehicles parked inside).
