| On the night of April 11th, members of the Bedford Fire Department took a night off from emergency services to reflect on and celebrate the past year at our annual installation dinner.
Every year, members and their families are invited out to the dinner, held at the Traveler's Rest restaurant in Ossining, New York. Following the cocktail hour, everyone moved into the main room to enjoy a full menu of delicious food, as well as music provided by a DJ.
Between courses, speeches were made by the commissioners and chiefs honoring the "top responders" of the year. Focus was also directed towards Foreman Linda Cady for her time with our department and culinary mastermind Dave McCabe for his nearly 20 years of service. Additionally, the Thompson family received a plaque from County Legislator Peter Harcam recognizing Fire Chief Raymond Thompson for his incredible dedication to the Bedford Fire Department and the emergency services throughout Westchester.
As the night wound down, the dance floor opened up (with the help of the Youth Program members) and several of Bedford's Bravest danced the night away.
Special thanks to Andrew Marshall of the Mount Kisco Independent Fire Company for the photos. |
