During the regular morning commute hours, one Seminary Road resident had quite a wake up alarm. At 9:00 a.m. a Ford Explorer lost control just over the hill on Route 121 heading towards Bedford Village, and was unable to brake in time before hitting a stonewall and then a house located at 100 Seminary Road.
Fortunately, both the house and car experienced relatively minor damage, and the driver of the vehicle was transported with minor injuries to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco by Ambulance 52-B1. Rescue 44 remained on location with Car 2042 for the removal of the vehicle by a flatbed from the Bedford Shell Station. The Town of Bedford Building department also responded to the scene to ensure the structural integrity of the home.
All Bedford units cleared the scene around 10:00 a.m., and the homeowner allowed back into his home.
