Following our propane fire, Bedford Fire was requested by Banksville Car 2581 to the scene of 7 Rustling Lane where a car fire inside of a garage (attached to a home) had ignited the structure. Car 2581 called a "10-75" and had Engine 158 lay from Middle Patent Road up Rustling Lane to the house, with roughly 1,100 feet of supply line. Banksville's tankers dropped their portable tanks at the intersection, and Tanker 7 set up to supply the scene.
Bedford Engine 108 worked in conjunction with Banksville Engine 157 to lay over a mile of 5" supply line to 228 East Middle Patent Road. Engine 108 picked up the source and pumped through Engine 157 as a relay to Tanker 7.
Because of access issues, apparatus were parked on Middle Patent Road while gear and firefighters were transported up to the scene by Armonk and Pound Ridge gators. Multiple special calls were made by command for additional units and man power to the scene.
Bedford crews on Utility 140 performed a primary search of the house, and assisted in operations on the roof. Ultimately the fire was contained to one side of the structure.
Following the fire, Bedford helped roll and pack all of the 5" supply line back at Banksville Fire Headquarters.
