At approximately 11:16 a.m. on March 26th, the Bedford Fire Department was toned out on a possible roof fire at a structure on the property of 300 Cantitoe Street. Following protocol, 60-Control automatically dispatched tankers from Katonah and Bedford Hills Fire Departments, as well as Tower Ladder 57 on the assignment.
Arriving Bedford Car 2041 found a working fire on the roof, and requested a 1st alarm re-dispatch to all incoming units. A FAST team was also requested to the scene from the Independent Fire Company in Mount Kisco, with Utility 13. First due Engine 109 made quick work of the fire, stretching a hand line with foam induction to the roof, allowing for a quick knockdown. A precautionary supply line was hooked between Tanker 5 and Engine 109 as well.
Following overhaul, the Zone 5 Cause and Origin Team investigated the fire, and all mutual aid units were released in-service with thanks.
