At 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, February 23rd, Bedford Fire Department crews were dispatched to the area of South Bedford Road and Baldwin Road near the entrance of Fox Lane High School for a two car motor vehicle accident with injuries.

Arriving Bedford Police units confirmed a two car, sedan vs. SUV, head on motor vehicle accident, with one occupant trapped inside their vehicle. Ambulance 52-B1, Rescue 44, and Utility 140 all arrived on the scene and quickly performed a "door pop" to remove the trapped driver.

A second ambulance was requested from Mount Kisco VAC to the scene, and both drivers were transported for evaluation at Northern Westchester Hospital.

Rescue 44 crew members assisted in stabilizing and containing fluids from both vehicles. A large debris field made for an extensive clean up, but the roadway was reopened by 08:00 hours.

Members also handled a second two car motor vehicle accident at Pound Ridge Road and Middle Patent Road later in the day.
